Did you know raw honey never goes bad?
That's right! Raw honey can last forever. If you've had it for a while and haven't been using it fast enough, it can crystalize. when that happens the honey turns a lighter color and becomes very hard to pour. Wait a few more weeks and it'll be rock solid.
It's easy to fix though! My favorite way to thaw out honey is to put it in a crock pot with an inch or two of water. Put the crock pot on warm and wait a few hours. The honey will thaw and be as good as new! To speed up the process, you can rotate the jar on all of it's sides so the heat travels faster.
Have you had this happen before? Did you know you could save it?
