What if I don't like something that is in my box?
Trade boxes are available at our drop off locations. You are welcome to trade one thing in your share for something in the trade box. Also keep in mind that produce can taste different using different recpies. Part of the fun of a CSA is having to try different types of produce that might have not otherwise bought at the farmers market. Give the produce a try you might like it!
Are your farms Organic?
Visser Farms is not a certified organic farm. We do practice sustainable growing methods, minimal fertilizer and pesticide applications as well as crop rotation. At Visser Farms we strive to produce the highest quality healthy produce to you and your family to enjoy.
Are your chickens free range and what are they fed?
Our chickens are free range. They are fed cracked corn.
Is it ok for us to share a box?
Yes, of course. Please just let us know who is going to be sharing the box and who will be responsible for payment. You are responsible for splitting the box between the two of you.
What happens if I forget to pick up my box?
If you forget to pick up your box call Mitch at(616)218-5760 or email lindsey@visserfamilyfarms.com to make other arrangements. They can be picked up at the farm later in the week. If you have not contacted us by Friday we will donate it.
Is someone else allowed to pick up my box?
Yes, just make sure they tell us your name when they come to pick it up.
